The Manchester Culture Awards are officially back for 2023, celebrating the city’s incredible talent, creativity and culture.
The annual awards, which launched in 2018, seek to acknowledge the city's reputation for culture and the arts - from grassroots to international - and are an opportunity to recognise and showcase the very best creative heroes right here in Manchester.
Nominations for this year's awards opened in May with winners across 13 different categories including Best Event, Best Performance, and Young Creative of the Year. Other awards touch on important themes such as health and well-being, the environment and social justice.

Now, the shortlist for the Manchester People's Culture Award category supported by the Manchester Evening News, has been revealed.
The Manchester People's Culture Award will be presented to an individual or organisation whose dedication and commitment to culture in Manchester stands out above all the rest and deserves to be recognised, with the final winner chosen by a public vote.
Last year, the Manchester People's Culture Award, went to Ed Wellard, co-founder of community street art project Withington Walls - a project which sees the whole community involved in bringing vibrant public art form amazing local artists to Withington.
