A man was rushed to hospital after a serious crash outside a Tameside supermarket.
Emergency services descended on Cavendish Street, in Ashton, near to Asda at around midnight on Sunday morning (April 3). Police, firefighters and paramedics were all in attendance while officers closed off the road between Park Parade and King Street, at the border with Dukinfield.
North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) says a man in his 30s was taken to hospital following the collision, but the extent of his injuries are not known. Fire crews from Ashton and Stalybridge were also sent out to the scene, with firefighters in attendance for around half an hour.

Further information about the nature of the crash is yet to be confirmed. Greater Manchester Police has been approached for comment.
A spokesperson for NWAS said: “An ambulance and consultant paramedic have attended an RTC following a call from police at 23.56 on Saturday, April 2. We have [taken] a man in his 30s to hospital.”
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service added: “Just after midnight in the morning of Sunday, April 3, we received a report of a road traffic collision on Cavendish Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne. Two fire engines from Ashton and Stalybridge fire stations and the Technical Response Unit from Ashton were quickly on the scene.
"The incident involved two vehicles, and crews worked alongside colleagues from Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service to make the area safe. Firefighters were in attendance for around half an hour.”
