A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Alan Lawson.
The 36-year-old, from Saltcoats, died following an assault at a property on Alexander Avenue in Largs over the weekend of February 3 and 4.
Jordan Honeyman, 29, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court earlier today charged with murder and defeating the ends of justice.
Lawson passed away in hospital on Tuesday, February 6, and a murder probe was launched.
Honeyman was detained by Police Scotland officers after a two-week manhunt.
He was held in police custody overnight before appearing at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court this afternoon. He made no plea to a charge of murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice. He was remanded in custody.

The case was continued for prosecutors to investigate further and no future court dates have been set but Honeyman is expected to make a second court appearance in connection with the next eight days.
