A man who died after the Audi he was inside hit a wall in Stockport has been named. Ryan Evans was a passenger in the car which crashed on Broadstone Road, in Reddish, on Saturday evening (February 24).
The 27-year-old tragically died at the scene after the Audi S3 hit the outside perimeter wall of Broadstone Mill, opposite the Grey Horse pub. His next of kin were informed by Greater Manchester Police and his family are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the Audi, another 27-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. GMP have not yet provided any further updates on the investigation.

South Manchester Coroner's Office confirmed it had received a file for Mr Evans, following his death on Saturday. Friends and loved ones of Mr Evans have paid tribute to him on Facebook following the tragedy.
One wrote: "RIP Ryan Evans absolutely heartbreaking! You was one of the nicest guys and always so kind. You will be missed."
Another wrote: "Rest in peace Ryan you will be missed by so many" as a third added: "Ryan Evans Rest in peace brother, you had a heart of gold I can't believe it, you will be more than missed my mate."
The Chestergate Pub, in Stockport, also shared a JustGiving page that had been set up to support the family, writing: "A local family really needs help during a very difficult time, Let's try and help them every penny counts."
