Married At First Sight UK may not be over yet, but this year’s brides and grooms have been hit with plenty of drama during the weeks the E4 experimental show has been airing. Most recently, George Roberts has allegedly been arrested following accusations of coercive and controlling behaviour from three of his ex girlfriends - something he denies. George, 40, is reportedly facing a police investigation over allegations of “coercive control” and “harassment”, as reported by The Sun.
According to the publication, his ex’s made separate complaints to the police about him and they were horrified that show producers ignored alerts despite raising the alarm, it's claimed. George, who married April Banbury on the E4 show, denies the allegations. Before joining the show, George worked in finance and also had a "second job" as a male model for brands including ASOS.
Away from the drama of the reality show, George’s life is seemingly less calm as he spends time with his family. George is no stranger to documenting his life on social media and in an Instagram post earlier this year, George took followers behind the scenes of his "second job" on a modelling shoot. He posed in a pair of aviator-style sunglasses, a black jumper and a leather-strap watch and wrote in a caption: "Back to the second job today." When he isn’t working, George spends time with his family and has shared plenty of pictures of the quality time he and his children have.
His Instagram bio is a testament to that and it reads: “Father .. loved ones first”. He’s also an animal lover and his social media account is peppered with pictures of his pet dogs and horses. The dad-of-four's arrest comes after it was reported that he had been accused of alleged emotional abuse
