Married At First Sight UK star Whitney Hughes has broken the cast’s silence surrounding the arrest of co-star George Roberts. Roberts, 40, is reportedly facing a police investigation over allegations of coercive control and harassment after three of his ex-girlfriends accuse him of emotional abuse.
After last night’s episode Whitney, 31, was live on Instagram about to discuss the show with her followers, however she then saw an alert about Roberts arrest and cut her session short. She then took to her Instagram Stories to explain why.
Explaining why she ended the live, she begins: “Hi guys, sorry about that, sorry about cutting the live short like that, I was probably on for about two seconds. “I just saw a notification about the news of what’s just been released into the press so it’s not a good time, I feel, to be going live, but we will pick it up and do it another time.
So yeah, sorry about that.” While she didn’t directly address Roberts arrest, her message came minutes after news broke of the development. In a statement, the Met Police told OK!: “A 40-year-old man was arrested by Met officers in Worcestershire on Thursday, 29 September on suspicion of controlling and coercive behaviour.
