Married At First Sight UK’s April Banbury was photographed for the first time since her husband, George Roberts, was allegedly arrested on suspicion of controlling behaviour. April, who is no longer in an active relationship with George, was pictured on the phone as she waited for a bus in London on Wednesday. The former Miss Great Britain was clad in black trousers, a white blazer with gold embellishments and a Burberry checkered scarf. April, 33, married George, 40, after they met for the first time during the Channel 4 show earlier this year. The financial adviser was reportedly arrested earlier this week.
At the time, a police spokesperson said: “A 40-year-old man was arrested in Worcestershire on Thursday, September 29, on suspicion of controlling and coercive behaviour. "He was taken to a police station and bailed pending further enquiries.” George denies any wrongdoing and has since been released on bail. Despite the ongoing situation, Channel 4 has continued to air episodes that were pre-recorded before the arrest. This week’s episode saw April express concerns over George’s “trust issues” while admitting he could be “the one.” After bringing the father of four to London for homestay week, April introduced her hubby to best friend Jose.
While out for drinks, she told her bestie: 'It's been a massive rollercoaster, it's been a journey I thought I would never go on. It hasn't been plain sailing. “I got an insight into George's life, what it was like, it's peacefully, very different.
