He didn't find love on the latest season of Married at First Sight UK, but Duka Cavolli certainly captured the hearts of the nation as he held his head high and departed the experiment after his wife on the show, Whitney Hughes, developed a connection with fellow contestant Matt Murray. The 31 year old recruitment HR coordinator from Birmingham first entered the experiment with an open mind as he hoped to find the perfect partner under the guidance of the show’s experts.
However, it was far from smooth sailing with his bride Whitney, who from day one, admitted she very nearly hadn’t married him, as he was “too small” for her. After marrying Duka in episode one, Whitney was often critical of her spouse, and was met by criticism from viewers who said she failed to give Duka a chance.
When describing her husband, she said: "I wanted a man to tower over me like massive, like a brick house, compared to a house maybe he's like a shed.” Whitney then got close to Murray, who had been married to Gemma Rose during the process.
