Married At First Sight UK hasn't been short of drama since it returned to our screens last week, but one contestant has revealed two moments he wished viewers saw from his wedding day. On Thursday last week, 21 September, we tuned in to watch Georges tie the knot with Peggy before they jetted off for their lavish honeymoon in Thailand where they've been getting to know each other.
While it's been up and down for the couple as they navigate their new relationship, the French groom has opened up about two moments that didn't make the TV cut from their wedding day. Speaking to the Daily Star, Georges revealed that he actually had a conversation with Peggy about not being a confident public speaker and about their first dance.
He said: "There's two moments. I do my speech and when I sat down with Mel [Schiling] on the couch I said I'm a very weak public speaker and I'm not very confident when I'm public speaking and she said make sure you say to your partner your not very confident so I tapped Peggy on the shoulder before I did my speech to say 'I'm absolutely dreading it', so they didn't show that.
"Also, our first dance. My mother was a dancer and I've got two left feet so I said to Peggy 'can we just do a slow dance, let me put my hands around your waist, put your arms on my shoulders and go from there' and we had a passionate kiss and that was really where I can see myself falling for her already." Georges has received some backlash since appearing on the show after viewers sparked concerns about his behaviour and "sexist views".
The cheeky chappy said he has a "very thick skin", so the comments don't really bother him.
