Ex-Love Islander and scientist Yewande Biala, 28, is about to release her very own one-off documentary ‘Secrets of the Female Orgasm’. During the programme on Channel 4, Yewande opens up about her own experiences, including her Catholic upbringing, and looks to professionals in a bid to have her first orgasm. Of course Yewande is best known for being on Love Island in 2019 where she coupled up with Michael Griffiths and Danny Willams, but was dumped on day 22.
And Yewande reveals there’s one big error people make about the show. “I think the misconception that Love Island is about sex is a really negative one,” says Yewande. “It’s not.
It's a dating show, and whether you treat it like that is personal to you, and a lot of people don't." “90% of the cast actually don't have sex. So I think to be like, ‘Oh, I'm so nervous about going on a dating show because I would have to have sex’, didn't even cross my mind. Love Island as a whole is about having an experience, finding love, finding friendships and about growing as a person.
So I wasn't nervous about that because it's not a show to have sex, it’s a show to find love.” However, the documentary is on a different level to Love Island for Yewande and is much more personal as she opens about about not experiencing an orgasm. “This is all about me and my journey,” she says. “Whereas in Love Island it was about everyone else, everyone got, like, little segments or storyline.
