ITV's Lorraine Kelly couldn't contain her laughter when discussing Amanda Holden 's recent performance at her daughter Lexi's 18th birthday party. Entertainment correspondent Tyler West joined the morning show to share details of the event. Amanda, known for her role as a judge on Britain's Got Talent, danced to Sophie Ellis-Bextor 's Murder on the Dancefloor, a song recently popularised by the film Saltburn.
Describing Amanda's performance, Tyler exclaimed: "It was great. I have no words for this. I have no words for that performance right there,” before showing a clip of the sparkling routine.
Tyler said: “The thing is, I could never imagine my mum walking into my 18th birthday party going, ‘Look guys, I know you’ve all seen Saltburn, here’s my performance.’” Lorraine, thoroughly amused, jokingly imitated an embarrassed teenager, exclaiming: "Muuum! Mum, stop it!" in response to her colleague's commentary. Amanda shared the footage on her social media, showcasing her dancing skills in a sparkly white ensemble. While many praised her for creating a memorable moment for her daughter, some found the performance inappropriate for the occasion.
Amanda, 52, attended the birthday party with her husband, record producer Chris Hughes, and their daughter Hollie, 12. Amanda also shared a sweet video to Instagram as she paid tribute to her eldest daughter.
The video was set to the Abba track Slipping Through My Fingers. In the caption, proud mum Amanda wrote: "Well...The time has literally slipped by and our beautiful @lexi.hughes_official is 18 today.
We just cannot quite believe it." She continued: "Darling. We are so proud of the intelligent, sensitive, funny , perceptive and loving woman you have grown up to be. We are here for
