LOONA return with ethereal music video for new single ‘Flip That’

Julien Baker has announced a three-track EP of outtakes from her recent third album, ‘Little Oblivion’, alongside the release of an emotive new single titled ‘Guthrie’.The EP, titled ‘B-Sides’, will arrive on July 21 via Matador (pre-save it here), coinciding with the first date of her joint US tour with Angel Olsen and Sharon Van Etten.The record features three songs that were recorded during the studio sessions for ‘Little Oblivions’ but didn’t make the cut for the album’s final tracklist. Oliver Sim has shared a new track called ‘GMT’ and announced a string of headline dates for this autumn.The song is the latest preview of The xx musician’s debut solo album ‘Hideous Bastard’, which is due for release on September 9 via Young. It follows the previous singles ‘Romance With A Memory’, ‘Fruit’ and ‘Hideous’.“‘GMT’ was one of the first songs made for the record,” Sim explained of his stripped-back latest offering.“I’d chased Jamie [xx, producer] to Australia to escape British winter.

The Mars Volta have detailed another new single, ‘Graveyard Love’, as well as an extension of their US tour.The announcement follows the release of their first new music in ten years with ‘Blacklight Shine’, shared last month (June 21).The Texas-formed band released six studio albums between 2003 and 2012 before splitting due to a falling-out between founding members Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodríguez-López.The pair quickly made amends, however, and formed a new group, Antemasque. They also revamped their pre-Mars Volta outfit, At-the-Drive-In, for a new record in 2017.“They will seek your ruin, and burn your lands, because if they can’t have you, no one can,” Cedric Bixler-Zavala offered as a cryptic description of ‘Graveyard Love’, which will be released on Friday (July 8) alongside a new short film.The Mars Volta previewed ‘Blacklight Shine’ by setting up a mysterious box installation in Los Angeles’ Grand Park, which plays new material from the band when you walk inside.Last month, an audio-visual art installation was also erected in Los Angeles’ Grand Park, titled ‘L’YTOME HODORXÍ TELESTERION’, where they previewed ‘Blacklight Shine’.

Sunmi has released a music video for ‘Heart Burn’, the title track for her single album of the same name.In the alluring visual, Sunmi travels through time and woos several lovers. All of her romantic endeavors end in heartbreak, however, as she loses all of her lovers to a fever they contract after spending a night with her.“Summer heat doesn’t cool down all night / I keep dancing with dangerous moves / Burning sunlight with a mild breeze / I love these vibes,” Sunmi sings in the second verse.

MONSTA X has released a music video for ‘Whispers in the Dark’, a cut from their ninth full-length album ‘The Dreaming’.The nostalgic visual, released yesterday (June 28), features various clips of the group’s preparations and performances for the Los Angeles leg of their North American ‘No Limit’ concert tour series. “Lying through your teeth / While you’re lying next to me / The voices keeping you awake / You can’t escape,” Minhyuk sings on the pre-chorus.The music video for ‘Whispers in the Dark’ was produced in partnership with Lexus, whose cars are featured in the visual.

First Aid Kit have returned with their first new music in three years in the form of new single, ‘Angel’ – listen to it below.The last original track the Swedish duo – comprising Johanna and Klara Söderberg – put out was 2019’s ‘Strange Beauty’, a tribute to the late David Berman. Their last studio album was ‘Ruins’ in 2018.‘Angel’, which showcases the Söderberg sisters’s signature harmonies, was written in the wake of major global events the past couple years.“It feels special to release a song after such a long hiatus,” the duo said in a statement.

KARD have made their much-anticipated comeback with ‘Ring The Alarm’.The vibrant visual sees each member in a different locations while performing the song: Somin in a living room with several aquariums, BM in an a gas station, J.Seph in a white living room and Jiwoo at a fast-food stand.“Ring the alarm / Come here and get on the ride quickly / (What you want, what you need, I’ll deliver) / Follow the body signal, move it / You’ll be mesmerized,” the group declares in the chorus.
