‘Lockwood & Co’ Won’t Be Renewed for Second Season

The Crown‘s sixth and final season is set to bring the acclaimed show to an end.

The Witcher has been officially renewed by Netflix for a fifth season despite season three not having aired yet.The news was confirmed by the show’s casting director Sophie Holland in an interview with Deadline. “We’re just about to start filming on season four with Liam Hemsworth and there will be a short gap then we go straight into season five,” she said.The first instalment of season three of The Witcher is set to land on the streamer on June 29, with Henry Cavill’s very last episodes as Geralt available to watch slightly later on July 27. According to TotalFilm, the creative leads considered ending the series due to Cavill’s departure was raised, but decided against it because there were “too many stories to tell”.When asked if she was “surprised” about Cavill’s departure from the role, Holland answered, “I probably won’t comment on that one.

Bicep and Moderat.The two acts will play at Repercussion on Saturday September 16, where Bicep will present their audiovisual DJ set ‘Chroma’. They and Moderat will be joined on that bill by an additional 44 acts including Jon Hopkins, Kerri Chandler, TSHA, Joy Orbison and Eliza Rose.Meanwhile, Hybrid Minds and Wilkinson will co-headline a collaborative event put on by Metropolis and Worried About Henry.

Virgin River fans will have to wait a little longer for Season 5, which will premiere this fall, Netflix announced in conjunction with its first ever upfront presentation Wednesday. And there is more news about the popular romantic drama, starring Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson — it is getting an early Season 6 pickup.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter “Virgin River” has been renewed for Season 6 at Netflix. The announcement was made as part of Netflix’s first ever upfront presentation to advertisers. It comes before Season 5 of the popular drama series has even set a premiere date, though it is expected to air in the fall. “Virgin River” was renewed for both Seasons 4 and 5 back in 2021, with Season 4 debuting in July 2022. The series is based on the Robyn Carr book series of the same name. The cast of the series includes Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Lauren Hammersley, Grayson Gurnsey, Sarah Dugdale, Zibby Allen, and Marco Grazzini.

The Conners are sticking around at ABC. The series has been renewed for its sixth season, the network announced Tuesday.

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Timothée Chalamet is playing the world’s most famous chocolatier in Warner Bros.’ upcoming musical “Wonka,” but it wasn’t necessarily the Roald Dahl source material that sparked his interest in joining the project. The Oscar nominee told Vogue magazine that he was drawn to playing Willy Wonka for the simple reason of making a movie for a younger, more optimistic demographic of moviegoers. “To work on something that will have an uncynical young audience, that was just a big joy,” Chalamet said. “That’s why I was drawn to it. In a time and climate of intense political rhetoric, when there’s so much bad news all the time, this is hopefully going to be a piece of chocolate.”

Selome Hailu “Lopez vs. Lopez” has been renewed for its second season at NBC. Starring George Lopez opposite his real-life daughter Mayan, the multi-cam comedy follows a working-class old-school Latino (George) who moves in with his Gen Z daughter (Mayan) as they rebuild their dysfunctional relationship one argument at a time. Along with the Lopezes, stars include Matt Shively as Mayan’s live-in boyfriend Quinten Van Bryan, Brice Gonzalez as their son Chance Lopez-Van Bryan, Selenis Leyva as Mayan’s mother and Geroge’s ex Rosie and Al Madrigal as George’s employee Oscar. The series frequently features guest roles played by prominent Latino actors such as Constance Marie, Rita Moreno, Justina Machado, Marilyn Milian, Danny Trejo and Melissa Fumero.

Prime Video has slated the premiere date for the fourth and final season of “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.” The espionage action series, which stars John Krasinski as the CIA spy, will premiere the first two episodes of its final season on June 30. Two episodes will be released weekly thereafter, with the finale of the six-episode season debuting on Prime Video on July 14. The new episodes of “Jack Ryan” come to the streamer only six months after the third season debuted in December. Prime Video debuted all eight episodes of Season 3 simultaneously over the winter, but has shifted to a weekly release structure for the final season. The series was renewed for a fourth season prior to airing episodes of its third.
