A drone user was shocked to capture what he thinks may be an image of the Loch Ness Monster.
The video appears to show a large creature in the water of the famous loch - with drone pilot Richard Mavor who was wild camping on at the time - astounded when others pointed out the eerie shape.
The 54-year-old filmed what may be the monster "accidentally" while out capturing footage for his YouTube channel, with the video for part of the great glen canoe challenge for Alzheimer's Society in August 2021.
But Richard told the Record he didn't even see "Nessie" until others who looked at the footage noticed the strange, large shape underwater.
He said: “I couldn’t believe it. I had to rewind the footage several times and have watched it several times since.
“I don’t know what it is but it certainly has the same shape as previous sightings of Nessie. The more I watch it I think ‘crikey!’ there really wasn’t anything in the area that could be.
“There was no driftwood or anything like that so who knows. I didn’t notice what I had picked up until others told me to watch out for it.
“It could be a trick of the light but we can’t be sure. We had just parked up and I thought I would get some nice shots on the beach for my YouTube."
In August, the Record reported that Nessie hunters had claimed to have captured the 'first ever video' of the monster using a thermal imaging drone.
The imagery had been captured at night using a heat-sensing drone.
