Chris Pratt has gone through some tough auditions in his acting career, but it sounds like nothing was worse than trying out for a strip club.
Jimmy Kimmel. The talk show host, 55, asked the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star, 43, if his Marvel auditions were the “toughest” tryouts he’d ever had to endure, to which the actor offered a surprise response.“I mean, in my career as an actor maybe, but I had an audition once when I was 18 years old in Edmonds, Washington, at a strip club called Mr. Pattywhacks,” Pratt revealed. “It was in the middle of the day, and the place was nasty,” he added, explaining that he danced for “one dude” to the song “Pony” by Ginuwine, which he said was “too slow” for him to feel comfortable.

"I put on the song "Pony" [by] Ginuwine…way too slow," he quipped during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star detailed his experience and said he was awkwardly dancing for only one guy during his audition.
Well, this is yet another unexpected wrinkle…

Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic Your eyes have deceived you if you ever took too quick a look at a passing reference to one of the great singer-songwriters of our day and mistook Brandy Clark for Brandi Carlile or vice versa. But those same eyes will not be seeing double if, in the very near future, you end up seeing both those names in close conjunction, a lot. Clark recently completed her fourth album — a self-titled one — for Warner Records, and the just-announced May 19 release is produced by possibly her biggest fan: Carlile. Their occasionally confused monograms are among the least of the things the two have in common, since both have enjoyed years of mutual acclaim among music fans who are partial to top-flight Americana or country sounds, or simply the classic singer-songwriter style. Beyond that, there are even more borderline-spooky commonalities that make it seem like they were both born under a good sign. “We’re both from Washington State; we’re both gay — we have a lot in common,” says Clark, picking out some of the obvious shared bio points. “And then a lot not in common. But Brandi is amazing, is how much she wants to prop other artists up. It’s a pretty big, generous gift.”

Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter has claimed that a dozen witnesses can back him up against his ongoing accusations of sexual assault. The accusations first arose last year, when a civil lawsuit was filed stating that the singer allegedly raped a 17-year-old fan on his tour bus in 2001.The allegations were made by Shannon Ruth, now aged 43, who stated that Carter handed her a drink which she believes contained a mix of cranberry juice and alcohol, before attacking her on the tour bus.She claimed that she encountered the singer when approaching him for an autograph after a Backstreet Boys show in Tacoma, Washington. She also stated that she remained quiet following the assault as she feared retaliation.Additionally, Melissa Schulman, who formerly performed with the pop group Dream, also came forward in 2017 – accusing him of rape.Carter has since denied all accusations made against him and, last month, filed a counter-suit against both Ruth and Schulman – seeking at least £1.93million ($2.35million) in damages. Now, according to new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Carter has reportedly said that he has 12 people who have testified in his favour and claim that the charges he faces are “factually impossible”.In the documents, Carter reportedly said that the witnesses gathered were all present at the show, and include a talent manager, security personnel and fans.
