Chris Pratt has gone through some tough auditions in his acting career, but it sounds like nothing was worse than trying out for a strip club.
The 43-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy star opened up about the experience during a recent interview and explained what made it so bad.
Spoiler alert: It was everything from the audience he auditioned for to the music and more. He also revealed if he got the job and accepted it.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Chris was asked by Jimmy Kimmel if his Marvel auditions were the “toughest” he ever went through.
“I mean, in my career as an actor maybe,” he admitted. “But I had an audition once when I was 18 years old in Edmonds, Washington, at a strip club called Mr. Pattywhacks.”
“I was like, ‘I’m gonna go do that,’” he said about the audition, adding that, “I think I probably could have had the job.”
Chris danced for “one dude,” but the whole experience was not good for him. “It was in the middle of the day, and the place was nasty,” he said. His song choice was Ginuwine‘s “Pony,” which he realized after the fact was “too slow” for him the moment.
He did get an offer, and one thing tempted him to accept it: “I walk out and there was a car – it’s like a mid 80s Toyota Tercel with a guy sleeping in the front seat, and he wakes up and he’s like ‘Oh,’ and he goes in,” he recalled. “I was like ‘Oh, that’s one of the dancers. He’s got a pretty sick car. Maybe I ought to come back, make a little money, and get myself a Toyota.’ But no, I ended up not going back.”
Last year another actor said he once worked as a stripper, but only for a day.
