J. Kim Murphy Netflix is in for more “Outer Banks.” The streamer has renewed the adventure series for a fourth season, five days ahead of the debut of Season 3 on Feb. 23. The news was announced Saturday evening at Poguelandia, the “Outer Banks” fan event in Huntington Beach, Calif. Cast members Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Carlacia Grant, Rudy Pankow, Austin North and Drew Starkey surprised the crowd with the renewal announcement. Attendees were also indulged with a nine-minute preview of Season 3. “Seeing Poguelandia come to life was nothing short of spectacular,” series co-creators, executive producers and showrunners Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke said in a joint statement. “The Pogues are enjoying an adventure of a lifetime and we now get to map out more twists and turns as the joyride continues into Season 4 of ‘Outer Banks.’ Thank you to Netflix, our cast and the amazing fans who helped to make this happen.”

' Pogues spent their first two seasons of television consistently on the run, and the upcoming season 3 now promises similar physical challenges. The trailer, released earlier this month, shows John B (Chase Stokes) and his friends scrambling across rugged hills, scurrying away from enemies and battling it out in more than one brawl. How do they keep up with it all? ET's Cassie DiLaura spoke with the cast ahead of the season 3 premiere. The trailer for Netflix's third installment of the beloved adventure series sees John B joining Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), JJ (Rudy Pankow), Kiara (Madison Bailey) and Cleo (Carlacia Grant) in their pursuit of the mysterious «El Dorado» treasure. Stokes told ET that the physical challenge of such a storyline is twofold.

John B (Chase Stokes) and the “Outer Banks” crew are back in Netflix’s first teaser for the series’ third season, and it seems they’ve finally found some peace on an island they call Poguelandia. The sky is so blue that it’s almost turquoise, the sand is soft and it looks like the gang has set up their own little sun-soaked world far away from Ward (Charles Esten), Rafe (Drew Starkey) and the Sheriff’s Department. But, of course, nothing is as it seems. Soon, the trailer heats up, showing Sarah (Madelyn Cline), Kie (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss) and JJ (Rudy Pankow) running away from wild dogs and participating in car chases as they continue to search for treasure. There’s also lots of fighting, including with Ward and Rafe, and the return of Cleo (Carlacia Grant) and John B’s resurrected-from-the-dead father, Big John Rutledge (Charles Halford).

on Saturday, offering fans a glimpse of the deserted island where John B and his loyal crew found themselves stranded at the end of season 2.   «My pops always said, 'Nothing good comes easy,'» John B says in a voiceover at the start of the trailer. «Question is, what are you willing to do to win?» Season 2 of Netflix's hit teen drama ended with a brawl atop a boat that the Pogues narrowly escaped via lifeboat.
