The New York-based company was co-founded by Ben Smith, previously media columnist for the New York Times and editor in chief of BuzzFeed News, and Justin B. Smith, former CEO of Bloomberg Media Group. (The two are not related.) Semafor said the additional investments are an extension on the same terms of the company’s previous financing round. The new total also takes into account the repurchase of the approximately $10 million in funds from Sam Bankman-Fried, the former CEO of cryptocurrency company FTX whom federal prosecutors have charged with fraud, money laundering and campaign finance offenses. The funding from Bankman-Fried will be returned to FTX creditors as directed by officials, according to Semafor.

The first trailer for “Dead Reckoning” included a shot of Cruise driving a motorcycle off a cliff. The film marks the debut of Fridtjof Ryder and alongside Ryland the cast includes Rory Alexander (“Pistol”), Kathryn Hunter (“Andor”), Eleanor Holliday, Alexander Lincoln (“The Fence”), Nell Williams (“The Good Liar”) and Shaun Dingwall (“Top Boy”). Described as a “modern folktale,” “Inland” explores the fractured identity of a young man after the mysterious disappearance of his mother. Actor Ray Liotta’s official cause of death has been revealed nearly one year after his passing.

Goodfellas actor died aged 67 in May last year in his sleep in the Dominican Republic, where he was shooting the film Dangerous Waters.According to documents obtained by TMZ, officials in the Dominican Republic have categorised his death as natural and nonviolent, citing acute heart failure, respiratory insufficiency and fluid in the lungs, officially known as pulmonary edema.It’s also reported that he suffered from atherosclerosis – where arteries become narrowed by a build-up of plaque, which can increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke.Liotta had his breakthrough role in Martin Scorsese’s 1990 crime film Goodfellas, where he played Henry Hill. He also played Shoeless Joe Jackson in 1989’s Field Of Dreams.His other notable credits include Something Wild, Cop Land, 2001’s Hannibal, Blow, The Place Beyond The Pines, TV series Shades Of Blue and recently, Cocaine Bear.The actor had his last TV role in Apple TV+ series Black Bird opposite Taron Egerton, where he played his on-screen father.At the time of his death, Scorsese paid tribute to Liotta, writing: “I’m absolutely shocked and devastated by the sudden, unexpected death of Ray Liotta.

The trailer begins with an FBI class reciting an oath in unison, pledging their devotion to the pursuit of truth and knowledge, but an eerie tone develops as some begin to show concern over how the bureau is progressing. Stakes rise as characters become engrossed in missions tinged with classic FBI tropes, including laser-filled rooms, swarms of agents advancing on a home, gun fights, erratic driving and rooms filled with countless monitors broadcasting the same image from screen to screen.

When asked about the moment he knew that Liotta was the perfect choice for Hill — a character that was slick, confident, effortlessly charming, but with an edge of danger that made him fearsome and attractive at the same time — Scorsese says it wasn’t during casting, or even on set, but when the two crossed paths ahead of the beginning of production.
