As the news media put it so dismissively in headlines after the Manson Family murders, actress Sharon Tate was murdered along with "four others." Those "others" were in fact Abigail Folger, Wojciech Frykowski, Steven Parent and Jay Sebring. The latter is the subject of the documentary Jay Sebring….Cutting to the Truth, directed by Anthony DiMaria.

Sharon Tate's sister is doing everything in her power to ensure that a convicted murderer and follower of the infamous Manson family stays behind bars. Debra Tate is lobbying California Governor Gavin Newsom to reject a move from the California Parole Board to release Leslie Van Houten, who was jailed for her part in the gruesome murder of Rosemary and Leno LaBianca in 1969 when she was 19.

Studios has nabbed the North American rights to Jay Sebring....Cutting to the Truth —a documentary feature from director Anthony DiMaria, 1010 Films and Halation — about the 1960s Hollywood trendsetter Jay Sebring. Sebring is mostly remembered as a faceless victim of the grisly Charles Manson cult murders of Roman Polanski's pregnant wife, Sharon Tate, and three others at the director's Benedict Canyon residence in August 1969.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood ends on August 8, 1969, when Cliff (Brad Pitt) and Rick (Leonardo DiCaprio) return to the States from Italy at the same time as the Manson Family arrives in Rick’s neighborhood with the intention of murdering the actress Sharon Tate and her friends. But Tarantino gives this infamous night a twist: Rick has a confrontation with the Family in his driveway while they’re scoping out Sharon’s house, and he is a huge ass to them.
