Livingston defender Ayo Obileye admits he's relishing the challenge of coming up against Steven Fletcher as the Lions travel to Tannadice.
The Dundee United striker boasts an impressive career that has seen him play at the top level in England and boasts 33 Scotland caps. But the 35-year-old is back plying his trade in the Scottish top flight after signing for Jack Ross's outfit in the summer.
Obileye said: "He's played at a high level for a long period of time and has played in the national team. It will be a good test and I like to have these kind of challenges against big names and top players.
"As a centre-back if you've got a striker that's an all-rounder, it tests your game but those are the type of players I like to play against. It will be a good test for myself and the team.
"Players like Fletcher, and other big players in the league, those are the players you big yourself up to challenge yourself against. If it all goes well then you can give yourself some confidence."
The former Queen of the South man, in his second season with the Lions, admits he was impressed with Sunday's opposition as they grabbed a 1-0 victory over AZ Alkmaar in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.
And while David Martindale's side were unbeaten in three games against United last term, he knows they can't read too much into that.
He commented: "I watched the game and they looked like a good team. They were last season as well.
"Every game is a challenge in this league but obviously their confidence will be high after beating a team in Europe but we'll go there with our gameplan and I'm sure we'll get a result.
"It's a new season now so it will be a different type of game and they've strengthened their squad - but so have we."
