Cody Gakpo will 'choose' Manchester United over five other clubs and more transfer rumours

Manchester United have reportedly been told that Cody Gakpo will choose them over their Premier League rivals if the club can agree a deal with PSV Eindhoven.

Dutch football expert Marcel Van der Kraan told Sky Sports that sources close to the player have confirmed that the winger is being chased by at least five English clubs. He goes on to say that Arsenal had a bid rejected for the player a couple of weeks ago and that if the player has his way – he will choose to join United.

Gakpo was in scintillating form at PSV as he scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 27 league appearances for the club last season. It is this level of performance that makes him such a sought after talent – although United fans may need to keep a close eye on the Dutch club's games following the player's recent comments.

Elsewhere, MailOnline report that United are eyeing up a move for Celtic defender Josip Juranovic.

They claim that Erik ten Hag is keen on the 26-year-old and he is on a list of targets that the club are pursuing ahead of the September 1 transfer deadline. The defender, who joined the Scottish side from Legia Warsaw last year, has impressed during his time at the club and has also caught the eye of Atletico Madrid and Chelsea.

Juranovic made 26 league appearances for Celtic last season and proved his ability to time a challenge as he only picked up a single yellow card throughout the entire league campaign. With just three weeks to go in the window, time is running out for Ten Hag to shape his squad into something he will be happy with for the rest of the season.
