King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have shared ‘Magenta Mountain’, the second single to be lifted from forthcoming album ‘Omnium Gatherum’ ahead of its release in April.The band’s latest is a spiralling, fuzzed-out odyssey with blistering guitars and glistening keys, as frontman Stu Mackenzie describes the titular, mystical summit. “You will say I’m crazy / I will go on my way because it’s what I need,” Mackenzie sings.

Nicki Minaj has released a new song featuring Brooklyn drill star Fivio Foreign. "We Go Up" sees Minaj leaning into Fivio's world of New York rap with a haunting drill beat crafted by Papi Yerr, Szamz, and Swizzy.

Kid Cudi has shared a new track called ‘Stars In The Sky’ – you can listen to it below.The upbeat, synth-driven song was recorded for the soundtrack to Sonic The Hedgehog 2, which is due to arrive in cinemas on April 8.It arrives with fun accompanying visuals that intersperse clips of Cudi performing in the studio with shots from the forthcoming movie, as well as old-school gameplay graphics from the original ’90s Sonic game.At one point, Cudi – real name Scott Mescudi – receives a message to “come join me” before taking flight above the city in a black-and-white sphere. Red Hot Chili Peppers have today (March 24) shared a new song – listen to ‘Not The One’.Last month the band announced ‘Unlimited Love’ with lead single ‘Black Summer’. The follow-up to 2016’s ‘The Getaway’ is set to arrive April 1 via Warner Bros and will mark the band’s first album since the return of guitarist John Frusciante in 2019.‘Not The One’ is the third single from the band’s upcoming new album, following on from ‘Black Summer’ and ‘Poster Child.’The new track hears Flea play bass and piano.

James Bay has shared the first single from his upcoming third album – listen to ‘Give Me The Reason’ below.The singer-songwriter is due to release the follow-up to his 2018 record ‘Electric Light’ later this year, though specific details on the project are yet to emerge.Today (March 24) Bay previewed his next full-length effort with a bittersweet new song, which was previously teased by the musician on social media on Valentine’s Day (February 14).Announcing that ‘Give Me A Reason’ was “finally here”, Bay explained: “It’s been a long and winding adventure making all this new music, but every moment was worth it. Bauhaus have shared their first new song in almost a decade and a half, ‘Drink The New Wine’. The band recorded the new single during lockdown by sharing audio files without hearing what their bandmates had recorded, utilising the Surrealist “exquisite corpse” method to compose the song.Each member was given one minute and eight tracks to record vocals and instrumentation, with an additional shared 60 seconds and four tracks to close out the song.

Mykki Blanco has released a new song with R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe – watch the video for ‘Family Ties’ below.The song is out now via Transgressive, with a black and white video directed by Kit Monteith that includes a cameo from Stipe through a flickering TV screen.

Metronomy’s Anna Prior has released her second solo single today (March 16) – listen to ‘Easier Alone’ below.It’s released on the Metronomy drummer’s newly launched label ‘Beat Place’ and follows on from last year’s debut, ‘Thank You For Nothing‘.Speaking about the new track, Prior said: “Easier Alone is a song about letting good things go. Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke has shared a new song written for the sixth season of Peaky Blinders – check out the haunting ‘5.17’ below.Last month, Peaky Blinders director Anthony Byrne revealed to NME that Yorke and  Radiohead bandmate Jonny Greenwood have contributed some new and original music to the upcoming sixth and final season of the show.“I’m over the moon about all of that,” Byrne said. “The music has always been really important historically, and I was really keen to bring a dramatic score into it.

Aldous Harding has shared a new single today, ‘Fever’ – listen to the track below.It’s taken from her upcoming new album ‘Warm Chris’ and follows on from the previously released ‘Lawn‘. The New Zealand musician will release the follow-up to her April 2019 record ‘Designer’ on March 25 via 4AD.‘Warm Chris’ was produced by John Parish (who also produced ‘Designer’ and Harding’s 2017 LP ‘Party’), with all 10 tracks being recorded at Rockfield Studios. Harding’s 2021 single ‘Old Peel’ does not make the final cut, however.The album includes contributions from Sleaford Mods’ Jason Williamson as well as H. Spiritualized have shared a soaring new song today (March 7) called ‘The Mainline Song’ – listen to it below.The track is the third to be lifted from Spiritualized’s upcoming album ‘Everything Was Beautiful’ which was inspired by J. Spaceman’s (aka Jason Pierce) experiences in lockdown, with the frontman saying: “I felt like I’d been in training for this my whole life.”‘The Mainline Song’ is said to have been “partly inspired by the protests happening in the US towards the end of the first Lockdown in 2020”, according to a press statement.The video, directed by Pierce, can be viewed below.A press release reports that ‘Everything Was Beautiful’ came together between 11 different studios, as well as Pierce’s own home, with the bandleader jamming out on a mind-boggling 16 instruments.“There was so much information on it that the slightest move would unbalance it, but going around in circles is important to me,” he said.
