One of the many fascinating sub-plots of Sunday's Manchester derby will be the battle between Erling Haaland and Lisandro Martinez.
Haaland already had a reputation as a serial goalscorer for Borussia Dortmund but has thoroughly enhanced that tag with a staggering return of 14 goals in just nine outings for Manchester City already.
As for Martinez, after a shaky start he's formed the bedrock of a new-look Manchester United defence alongside Raphael Varane, with the team full of confidence after winning four league games on the spin. Plenty of talk has been made about the supposed mismatch in terms of height, in particular, and former England and Arsenal defender Martin Keown is looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

Writing in the Mail, he said: "For all the focus on his 6ft 4in height compared to Manchester United’s 5ft 9in Lisandro Martinez, Haaland winning headers cannot be the defender’s only concern.
"Martinez was ridiculed after his start to life here. He was told he wasn’t big enough to compete in England. But he looks like he’s enjoyed proving people wrong since.
"It isn’t ideal that he’s shorter than Haaland — you don’t want to give someone as lethal as City’s striker any sort of advantage — but Martinez is a contact defender. He’s physical and aggressive and a fighter.
"As the phrase goes: a good big ’un will always beat a good little ’un. But Martinez will be out to prove that theory wrong on Sunday."
