Liam Gallagher has got the rumour mill in overdrive as he teased a fan on social media that he could be making an appearance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
The Oasis frontman today announced plans for the Liam Gallagher & Friends: Malta Weekender festival to take place in the European country from September 19 to 22. Alongside a headline appearance from the rock star himself, the festival will also feature a curated line-up of DJs and live acts.
The new festival in Malta’s St Paul's Bay will also feature a number of club nights, pool parties and boat parties throughout the weekend. Tickets, including hotel packages, will go on sale via Ticketmaster from 10am next Friday (March 1).

In addition to the Malta Weekender festival, Liam recently announced he will head on tour with John Squire this March. He will also perform a string of dates at Manchester’s Co-Op Live in June to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ Definitely Maybe album.
Liam is also now teasing a possible appearance at Glastonbury 2024, which will take place from June 26 to 30 at Worthy Farm. In response to a fan who asked if they will be seeing ‘you and Squire at Glastonbury this summer’, Liam responded: “Yeah”.
His response led the fan to reply with a huge ‘C’maaaannnnn!!!!!!’, but other fans said they are holding onto their excitement until an official announcement is made by festival organisers. One fan wrote: “‘Definitely believe it when I see it from someone other than Liam.”
The Glasto Thingy, which posts about the festival as well as speculation about the upcoming line-up, said they have put a question mark next to Liam and John’s possible appearance. The account wrote:
