Law & Order: SVU Seasons Cut Short By Coronavirus

Tim Allen's "Last Man Standing" is among the many television programs that have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Production on the FOX comedy series was shut down before filming was completed for the originally-planned season finale, meaning it will end on an earlier episode than expected.

Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit are cutting their seasons short as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, according to Deadline. The Chicago Med episode "A Needle in the Heart," airing Wednesday, April 15 at 8/7c, on NBC will now serve as the Season 5 finale.

Christopher Meloni is all set to reprise his iconic role as Elliot Stabler in the upcoming spinoff of the 1999 drama series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The show has cracked a 13-episode deal, Variety reported. The show, which recently entered its 21st season, follows a group of NYPD detectives as they solved some very thrilling cases based on real crimes. Reportedly, the upcoming spinoff will feature Stabler as he heads the organised crime division of the NYPD.

For 12 seasons of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Detective Stabler solved crimes that, in the criminal justice system, are considered especially heinous.
