Manchester City captain Kyle Walker says he's feeling as fresh as a daisy before the club's meeting with Liverpool and reckons Pep Guardiola might even give his players time off before that Premier League game.
City resume their latest title defence on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium for a lunchtime kick-off (12.30pm). Playing in that time-slot has irked opposition manager Jurgen Klopp.
Walker, who remains on international duty, played 45 minutes for England on Friday night in what was a laboured win over Malta, with North Macedonia next up on Monday night. However, while matches continue to come thick and fast for club and country, Walker does not share the same concern as Klopp.

Speaking before the international break about the City vs Liverpool kick-off time, Klopp said: "No-one can say at the moment, but how can you put a game like this on a Saturday at 12.30pm? Honestly, people making decisions, they cannot feel football, it's just not possible."
In his latest rant against the schedule, Klopp added: "And if that's the moment where the world pays the most to see a football game then nobody has to tell us. I don't know if that's the case, I really don't."
Addressing his own individual condition, City captain Walker said: "We're going to get back from Macedonia early on Tuesday morning, but I have a good manager who gives us a couple of days off before the weekend. It's a little tiring sometimes, but I wouldn't change my job for the world.
"Sports science has helped me massively. I do my gym work for my muscles and I'm still sharp."
