Manchester United have reportedly suffered a huge blow to their hopes of signing Jude Bellingham this summer.
Reds boss Erik ten Hag has made signing a top-class goalscorer his number one priority when the window opens in the summer, but is also thought to want to bring in a dynamic midfielder, with Borussia Dortmund's Bellingham said to fit the bill. Following a series of stellar performances for England at the World Cup over the winter, speculation that the young midfielder could be on the move increased.
Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been credited with holding an interest in Bellingham, who came close to signing for United when he was shown around their Carrington training base before eventually opting for the move to Germany from Birmingham City in 2019. Sadly for United fans, Bellingham could be set to turn the club down for a second time according to the latest reports.

That is because The Times claims the midfielder doesn't want to make a move that's not "absolutely right" for him. The report adds that Bellingham would prefer to remain at Dortmund until 2024 rather than allow himself to be persuaded into moving to the wrong club.
Liverpool are believed to have dropped out of the race to sign Bellingham this summer after balking at Dortmund's £130million asking price, although The Times report adds that there was no real indication from Bellingham that he preferred Anfield to elsewhere despite his father, Mark, being a Liverpool fan.
