Major package airlines Jet2 and TUI have cancelled all flights and holidays due to depart to Rhodes over the coming days due to devastating wildfires.
Jet2 have announced that they will still fly empty planes out to the popular holiday destination to bring home stricken passengers. Meanwhile, TUI have also announced they are cancelling all scheduled flights and holidays in Rhodes for the next few days, the Mirror reports.
Countless holidaymakers have been forced to seek shelter in evacuation centres as the fierce blaze continues to rage.

Jet2 said in a statement: "We have cancelled all flights and holidays that are due to depart to Rhodes today (five flights in total). We will be contacting affected customers to update them, and to let them know that they will be provided with a full refund and the opportunity to rebook.
"We will fly those five aircraft to Rhodes with no customers onboard so that we can bring customers back to the UK on their scheduled flight."
While TUI said in a statement: "The situation in the Southern part of Rhodes remains volatile and challenging. Due to this and considering the impact on local communities being affected, TUI has decided to cancel all flights and booked holidays to Rhodes for departures up to and incl. Tuesday, July 25."
The news comes as the total number of people evacuated or redirected due to the fires has reached 19,000, the Greek government has confirmed. Of the 19,000, 16,000 people were evacuated by land and 3,000 by sea.
"It has been the largest evacuation ever [in Greece] in a fire with coordinated mobilisation of all resources," a spokesperson told Sky News.
