Jade Goody's mum says it will be like watching her daughter on TV again when grandson Bobby Brazier takes to the Strictly Come Dancing stage in a few weeks.
Proud gran Jackiey Budden, 64, is looking forward to watching Bobby appear on Strictly as he is 'the spit' of his late mum. Jade made a name for herself as a reality star on Big Brother in 2002 before her death in 2009 from cervical cancer.
The TV personality had two sons during her relationship with presenter Jeff Brazier, 43, before the couple went their separate ways in 2004. Gushing over her grandson, Jackiey, revealed she is looking forward to seeing him get his dancing shoes on for the BBC ballroom dancing show.
She told The Mirror: “I’m over the moon and he’s just stepped in his mum’s shoes — he’s in Jade’s trotters. He’s been born to bring Jade back as himself, because he’s the spit of Jade — he’s got his daddy’s head. It will be like watching her on telly."
Jackiey admits she is close with her grandson Bobby but due to his work schedule they don't see each other as often as they would like. “He has to get up at 5am for EastEnders sometimes, so he’s always on the go. We always text though which is lovely. He likes to keep an eye on his nana, just like Freddie does," she added.
Sharing his excitement ahead of his anticipated Strictly stint: “I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly line up, I can’t wait to start training like a professional dancer and adding a few moves to my locker. I'm looking forward to performing in-front of everyone, it's going to be so much fun!”
Bobby was just five when his mum died at the age of 27 following a battle with cervical cancer. Speaking to The Face, he previously explained he was so used to not having his mum around that it
