EastEnders' Bobby Brazier on why tragic mum Jade Goody would be 'happy' he's on Strictly

Big Brother legend Jade Goody tragically died in March 2009 at the age of 27 following a battle with cervical cancer. She left behind her beloved boys Bobby and Freddie, who were aged just five and four at the time. Now, as he prepares to make his Strictly Come Dancing debut, Bobby Brazier has revealed what his late mum would think of him taking part in the BBC show.
EastEnders star Bobby, 20, is convinced that she'd be "happy" he's doing something he enjoys. Speaking to OK! he said: "She’d be happy that I’m doing something that makes me happy. Like all my friends and all of my family, and everyone that loves me is.
They’re happy for me because they know how much I’m going to enjoy myself and how happy I am to just be here." On how far he'd like to get in the competition, he admitted: "I want to go as far as I possibly can.
I want to stay in it and be around these lovely people for as long as I possibly can. "And go on that journey with my partner, have the best times, and the worst times, and everything in between. I really want to feel all of those things together.
We have a potential for a really, really, really sweet relationship that I’ll cherish forever." It seems Bobby is already making friends during the competition, telling us there's a busy WhatsApp group. He joked: "I’m going to have to mute it soon. Luckily, I like everybody.
Everyone’s great." Bobby previously revealed his plans for a moving Strictly routine he may dedicate to his mum.
