SHINee member Taemin has officially been discharged from military service, and he’s set to celebrate it with fans during an upcoming fanmeeting event.The K-pop idol was officially discharged from his two-year military service on April 4, nearly two years since he enlisted for active duty on April 19, 2021. The occasion was marked by his SM Entertainment, which released a video titled ‘Taemin is Back’, featuring archival footage of the singer in a practice room.Soon after, Taemin also released a handwritten letter, touching on his time in the military and feeling about being discharged.

Mijoo of girl group Lovelyz is set to make her solo debut.On April 3, Mijoo’s agency Antenna announced to South Korean media in a press release that the 28-year-old singer will be releasing solo music next month.“Mijoo is making the final touches to her solo debut in May,” said the agency, per KoreaJoongAngDaily. “We ask for your love and support for the new side of Mijoo that will show through her as a solo singer.”The announcement comes almost a year after Antenna first confirmed that Mijoo would make her solo debut.

Royal Blood have announced two intimate warm-up shows ahead of their upcoming UK and European tour.The shows will take place at Nottingham’s Rock City on May 26 and Newcastle’s O2 City Hall on June 21 – giving fans the chance to see the band in a more intimate setting before they play a series of festivals and stadium support slots with Muse this summer.Both of the newly announced venues have a capacity of approximately 2,000, with tickets on sale on sale from 10am this Thursday (April 6) and available here.The duo – which is comprised of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher – will then embark on a series of live performances throughout the UK and Europe throughout the summer. Suga of K-pop boyband BTS has announced his debut solo album under his alias Agust D.Big Hit confirmed in a tweet today that the album will be called ‘D-Day’ and is set to land on April 21 at 1pm Korean time and at midnight Eastern time.Solo music from Suga had been anticipated for some time following BTS’ hiatus.
