A contestant on ITV's The 1% Club is still waiting for her cash prize, despite winning the game months ago. Hillal Sanderson couldn't believe it when she nabbed an incredible £98,000.
And one of her answers was so impressive, it stunned host Lee Mack. During the final round of the famous quiz show, she was presented with a tough question when she was asked to complete this sequence: 'S M H D W M?'.
After she chose her answer, host Lee was keen to find out which letter she had opted for, reports The Mirror Online.
Hillal, aged 30 and hailing from Crewe, Cheshire, replied: "I've put Y. So it's seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years."
Lee then said: "Let's have a look, for £98,000," and soon discovered that her guess was right. This correct answer got her the stunning money prize.
Yet, five months after bagging her win, Hillal is still waiting for her money and she explained why.
In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, she explained: "It's made very clear from the beginning that you don't receive the winnings until 30 days after it's aired, I've still not got that yet. But it is made very clear, that's what the process is, I'm waiting patiently now.
"It's not a surprise once you've won, you're not blindsided by that at all, it's very clear what the process is. The team are really good and really supportive as well."
While some may argue that the days of filming quiz shows can be extremely long, Hillal admits it is a "little bit of a long day" but every moment, from meeting Lee backstage, to chilling with her co-contestants was more than relaxing.
