ITV's Lorraine Kelly shares 'very sad news' as she pays emotional tribute to BBC star

ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly has shared her sadness with fans following the death of BBC Radio Orkney host Dave Gray. His tragic passing was announced on Thursday following a short illness.
The news of his death was announced on the BBC Radio Orkney's official Facebook page, with the statement saying: "Everyone at BBC Radio Orkney is grieving the sudden loss of our friend and colleague Dave Gray, who died on Wednesday following a short illness. For three decades Dave was the heart and soul of the BBC in Orkney and we will miss him terribly.
"Our thoughts are with his family and many friends at this most difficult of times. We will be sharing our tribute to Dave on Friday morning's Around Orkney at 7.30am."
Lorraine, 63, took to social media with an emotional tribute following the news on her Instagram account, writing: "Just heard the very sad news that @bbcradioorkney legend Dave Gray has died."
She continued: "I saw him just two weeks ago when I was in #Orkney and we had a great chat. He will be sorely missed - my sincere condolences to his family and all of his friends."
Messages of support and condolonces flooded her Instagram page, as one person wrote: "Very sad. Lots of radio djs having a huge party wherever they are," as another said: "How sad sending condolences to David’s family."

Lorraine also had another heartbreaking loss last year of her friend and colleague Hannah Hawkins who died following a battle with breast cancer at the age of only 33.
