Emmerdale fans tuning into the ITV soap have been left stunned at the "daylight robbery" prices of drinks in the iconic Woolpack after the programme laid bare the cost of a pint.
In an episode that aired earlier this month, fans saw Moira Dingle and Nate Robinson head to the local for a drink to discuss the Dingle family when talk soon turned to the return of Cain Dingle and Caleb Milligan from their mystery road trip.
The pair then placed an order at the bar in the Woolpack with Gail Loman for two pints. Moria took her drink to find them both a table and Nate was left with the bill which he was told amounted to £15.20, as Moira overheard and snubbed her nose at the cost in shock.
Nate tapped his card to pay, as viewers soon took to social media following the shocking cost to air their views on social media according to reports in OK! Magazine.
One person commented: "I thought my local was expensive, but I’d pour it back in barrel if they said £15.20. It’s not that London."
While another said: "You wouldn’t even pay £7.60 per Pint in London!! LOL # Emmerdale." A third penned: "You kidding? £15.20 for 2 PINTS?!! #TheWoolpack is a Rip Off!"
Someone else added: " £15.20 for 2 drinks? London prices have reached #Emmerdale," as another fumed:"£15.20 for 2 pints in emmerdale! I hate paying more than £3.50 for a pint."
