Nothing gets past soap fans and eagle-eyed Coronation Street viewers think they've spotted a subtle yet poignant tribute in latest scenes.
Kicking off Monday's hour-long trip to Weatherfield, and the first visit of the week to our favourite street, viewers of the ITV soap joined Amy Barlow as she sat down to do a bit of negotiation in the cafe with her granddad, Ken. The teenager was seeking to get the inheritance her grandma - Ken's wife, Deidre - had left for her in order to fund her education at university after cutting ties with her mum and dad.
Amy, played by Elle Mulvaney, was left furious last week when Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow didn't believe her. She had told them that new boyfriend Jacob Hay had been sticking up for her when he punched her cousin, Simon Barlow.

The confrontation on the street ensued after Amy invited bad boy Jacob for lunch with her parents despite them having already made no secret of the fact that they don't want their daughter dating the former drug dealer. After making it through the awkward meal, the scenes became even more toe-curling when Jacob decided to leave after being spotted by Leanne Battersby.
And so the lovebirds said their goodbye at the table in front of Tracy and Steve with a slurpy smooch that seemed to last a little longer than it should have. Then, heading off back to his bedsit, Jacob bumped into Simon who started antagonising him over Amy.
In a bid to stick up for his new girlfriend, he punched Simon in the face in full view of Amy and Steve. Amy fell out with her parents after they didn't believe her claims that Jacob was just sticking up for her, and viewers
