ITV Coronation Street and Emmerdale stars with 'ordinary' day jobs including delivery driver

ITV has produced two of the biggest weekly soap shows on TV - Coronation Street and Emmerdale. While the main appeal of these shows' characters is the dynamic twist and turns of their daily lives, many fans may be surprised that a lot of actors who spent time in the limelight decided to give up fame and work normal day jobs. Many of these actors are now happy with the careers they have chosen while others had little choice but to abandon acting as the work dried up, Birmingham Live reports.
We have broken down some of the actors from your favourite ITV soaps who have decided to take up normal jobs. Marc Silcock Marc appeared in Emmerdale during one of its most controversial storylines at the time. He played the role of Jackson Walsh who was an integral part of Aaron Dingle's coming out story as he was his first boyfriend.
In a tragic twist to the story, Jackson crashed his car on a railway line and was hit by a train, leaving him paralysed from the waist down. Jackson was unable to cope with his condition and begged Aaron to end his life which led to him and mum Hazel being placed on trial for his murder - they were not found guilty after a video emerged exonerating Jackson. Marc retired from acting in 2017 and went on to become an estate agent at Kamani Property Group which is run by Boohoo and Pretty Little Thing owner Adam Kamani.
Adam Thomas Another Emmerdale to take up a position at Kamani Property is Adam Thomas who played the role of Adam Barton - Aaron's best friend. After seven years of appearing on screen, Adam left Emmerdale in 2018 after his character went on the run - his character is still frequently mentioned in the show.
