Per the new logline, “1923” focuses on the Dutton family’s next two generations as they struggle to survive historic drought, lawlessness and prohibition, and an epidemic of cattle theft; all battled beneath the cloud of Montana’s great depression, which preceded the nation by almost a decade.

If you haven’t jumped on the “Yellowstone” train just yet, now might be the time to do so. The hit modern western meets prime time soap opera is hitting its popularity apex, it’s finally getting awards attention, and, more importantly, it’s actually really damn good.

Let’s face it, Paramount+ is the house that Taylor Sheridan built. The streamer is the home of “1883,” the spin-off to Sheridan’s uber-popular western crime series “Yellowstone.” “Mayor Of Kingstown” resides there, too, as will a slew of other upcoming series connected to Sheridan’s breakout series.

Like it or not, city-folk, “Yellowstone” has officially gone mainstream. That’s right, after years of being relegated to underground middle American word-of-mouth, Taylor Sheridan’s modern western Paramount series is finally getting its due.

Chris Miller came up with the idea for The Afterparty years ago, when he knew he wanted to create a murder mystery that showed different perspectives from the witnesses. Although the project was put on the back burner as he worked on films like The Lego Movie and 22 Jump Street, the time span allowed Miller to come up with the unique idea of telling the story of each witness in a different genre. The new idea sparked interest from Apple TV+, which ordered an eight-episode series, and the show’s success has led to a second season with 10 episodes.

The emergence of Isabel May as the lead in Taylor Sheridan’s frontier epic series 1883 is such an unlikely discovery story that it still has the actress trying to come to grips with a star-making turn that should factor in the Emmy race.

Long before he became a premier storyteller for Paramount+, Taylor Sheridan was a journeyman actor who struggled to support his family. The older he got, the more he found himself descending on the call sheet. What should have been a welcome burst of momentum — playing Deputy Chief David Hale on Sons of Anarchy — turned out to be the final dose of humiliation that led him to change horses. An ask for a decent raise was the thing that compelled Sheridan to begin writing scripts. Sheridan was several seasons into playing what he believed to be a pivotal role in the SAMCRO universe, but the studio suits didn’t seem to share his assessment.

The Duttons will be back in the fall.

Bass Reeves, a previously announced limited series produced by Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan, will now be an offshoot of Yellowstone prequel 1883 at Paramount+. The news was revealed as part of MTV Entertainment Studios’ upfront on Wednesday.

Selome Hailu Paramount+ announced that “Tulsa King,” Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming series starring Sylvester Stallone, will premiere on Nov. 13 with two episodes. All remaining episodes will become available for streaming weekly on Sundays.Additionally, Paramount Network will air a sneak peek at the premiere on Nov.
