‘Tulsa King’ Teaser: Sylvester Stallone Starts A New Crime Empire In New Show From Taylor Sheridan & Terence Winter

Taylor Sheridan is taking on showrunning duties on his Paramount+ series Lioness, Deadline has confirmed.

EXCLUSIVE: Paramount Pictures is set to remake critically acclaimed South Korean crime thriller The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil with original star Don Lee (aka Ma Dong-seok) reprising his lead role as a gang boss looking for redemption in the studio’s U.S. version.

On-set still photographer Lorey Sebastian, who worked on such movies as Crash, Twilight, Wild Hogs, Blow, St. Elmo’s Fire, I Am Sam, In the Valley of Elah and A Million Ways to Die in the West died May 9 in New Mexico after a brief illness. She was 78.

This week, Paramount+ launched in the UK with a broad content slate of more than 8,000 hours of content. The crown jewels in Paramount’s wares are writer/director/creator/showrunner Taylor Sheridan’s (“Sicario,” “Wind River”) “Yellowstone” series and its spin-off “1883,” both of which come from 101 Studios.

When Kevin Costner first got pitched the dramatic Montana-set Western “Yellowstone” by Academy Award-nominated writer and director/creator/showrunner Taylor Sheridan (“Sicario,” “Wind River”) he was all in, though he may not have been entirely sure what he was signing up for. “He said something that I’ve been doing my whole career,” Costner recalled during this week’s press day to celebrate Paramount+’s very recent launch in the U.K.

Sylvester Stallone is getting a taste of the gangster life in Paramount+'s upcoming crime drama, . The series follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone), just after he is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet.

Dana Delany (Body of Proof) will join Sylvester Stallone in the new original series Tulsa King for Paramount+.
