While the pandemic sadly marked the end for some Manchester businesses, for others it presented the rare opportunity to try something new. For Dooley & Rostron, a luxury tailors based in Manchester, it was a chance to open up the shop to a broader range of customers.
So, when they relocated from Princess Street to Trinity Square on King Street and rebranded in April 2021, they took things a step further and opened their own coffee hatch too. Sitting above the tailor's state-of-the-art factory where they make their bespoke garments, the aptly named Factory Coffee serves up some of the best brews and baked goods in Manchester.
They've achieved a great deal in a relatively short space of time, especially given the turbulence experienced by the hospitality industry over the past few years. They've collaborated with some of the biggest names in coffee, created their own Factory blend roasted by North Star Coffee Roasters in Leeds, and even been nominated as one of the best coffee shops at the Manchester Food and Drink Awards, sitting amongst heavyweights like Pollen, Just Between Friends and Sale's Grapefruit.

So, it felt entirely on brand to hear that they would be expanding once again and opening a brand new cafe space in the former Spar shop on King Street West.
