But one Manchester pizza spot is leading the pack according to a new global ranking. Today, Rudy's, has been named as one of the best places for pizza in the world.

Global travel site Big 7 Travel has officially released its 50 Best Pizzas in The World ranking and Manchester-born pizza concept Rudy's has come in 16th place, which is particularly impressive considering the top 10 is dominated by pizza joints in Naples - the pizza's birthplace - and renowned spots in the United States.
The travel experts have searched high and low across the continents for the best family pizzerias, hip newcomers and the old classics. The list, which is now in its 5th year, was determined from a combined score of reader suggestions throughout the year, online user reviews and Big 7 Travel's editorial team.
Still holding the number one position is Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria in Naples, which the guide praises for its 'superb' Margherita and Marinara, as well as its affordable prices and 'real culinary creativity'. There are several London spots listed, but Manchester is the only other English city to appear in the ranking.
