Inside Kate Middleton and Prince William's first Valentine's Day apart

As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, travelling the world and representing the UK abroad are part and parcel of their roles. And later this month the pair will travel to the Caribbean, visiting Belize, Jamaica and The Bahamas on behalf of The Queen. And while royal tours are undoubtedly hard work, filled with numerous engagements, dinners and events, royal expert Jennie Bond doesn’t doubt that there’s a small part of Kate, 40 and William, 39, that is looking forward to some time on their own.

Last month, William made his first official visit to Dubai, while Kate spent a few days in Denmark, all while they Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, remained in the UK.

Sometimes, the sidelines are the most fun place to be…at least Prince George, 8, made them look that was as he hilariously stuck out his tongue and whispered with parents Prince William and Kate Middleton while attending a rugby match on Feb. 26. The trio were all smiles, class, and British spirit in new photos, where they chuckled amongst themselves, sang along to the national anthem, and cheered on their home team.
