Joe-Warren Plant has became a staple to our screens, having joined the cast of hit ITV soap Emmerdale back in 2010. The soap star, 19, is famed for his portrayal of Jacob Gallagher, who has found himself at the centre of several dramatic storylines over the years. Recent episodes have seen Jacob distraught following the death of his girlfriend Leanna Cavanagh, who was murdered by soap villain Meena Jutla.

Joe was born in Blackpool, and grew up in Poulton-le-Fylde with his mum, Steph, and his dad. The actor was destined to be a star from an early, having been enrolled in the Scream Theatre School in Blackpool when he was just four years old. Joe landed the role of Jacob Gallagher on Emmerdale in August 2010, and was introduced alongside his on-screen parents, Justin, portrayed by Andrew Langtree, and Alicia Gallagher played by Natalie Anderson.
The actor has remained a regular on the soap ever since, and during his time on Emmerdale he's been nominated by numerous awards, including Best Young Actor at the British Soap Awards. Alongside his soap stint, he also starred in US action film Broken Hearts as Harri Hart in 2012. In 2020, it was announced that Joe would be taking a six month long break from Emmerdale in order to take part in Dancing on Ice.
