IFC Films is offering embattled indie theaters hundreds of films from its library to screen when they re-open from their mass, COVID-19 related shutdown.
The movies, which include such IFC classics as “Y Tu Mama Tambien” and “Boyhood,” will be made available to cinemas without any rental fees. The films are being presented in retrospective programs, boasting roughly 200 films. Theaters will not be charged any film rental.

Fair City star Una Crawford O’Brien has quelled any fears that Fair City is to be cancelled and revealed that the soap’s writers are already working on brand new episodes.
RTÉ has said that new scripts of Fair City are currently being written amid claims that the Irish soap has been cancelled.
Under an initiative it has called the Indie Theater Revival Project, IFC Films has said it will offer 200 library titles for free to indie cinemas across the U.S. that planning to reopen in the coming months after being shuttered due to the coronavirus pandemic.
