Generally I don't like talking about Christmas until at least November.
With shops launching their festive displays before we've even had chance to cover our barbecues - if you've even had it out this year - it can all feel a bit too much.
But when it comes to food, that's a topic I can happily discuss until the cows come home. And there is no shortage of it in the festive season.
It's not just the price of a turkey that gets people talking these days either - supermarkets' efforts to pull in the punters with their festive menus become supercharged from as early as September.

I'm not that bothered about turkey if I'm honest. I can take it or leave it and I honestly wouldn't be fussed if I had chicken on my plate instead, it's a damn site cheaper that's for sure.
But there are some things that get me a bit more excited for the festive season, namely those little porky sausages.
After writing about Iceland's Cathedral City Pigs in Blankets Toastie, which features in its Christmas range, I simply had to give it a try.
It costs a very reasonable £3.50, cheaper still if you make use of the three for £10 deal - and it could quite possibly be the best £3.33333333 I've ever spent!
You can cook them in the oven, air fryer or even just the microwave, but I had the oven on anyway so decided on the traditional route.
It doesn't look the most appealing thing straight from the packet, but you can immediately see its potential.
Once cooked and oh my word, this thing is quite special.
I probably would say that given the fact it includes three foods I love - bread, sausages and cheese - but it's the
