With his wife Princess Catherine in the hospital recovering from an abdominal surgery, the Prince of Wales is stepping up to the plate to be there for her and their kids!
Royal author Robert Hardman told People on Wednesday the future king didn’t think twice about canceling public duties for the time being to care for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis while Kate Middleton heals. He explained:

The family’s longtime helper Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo will continue to assist, such as by helping with school pickup and drop-offs, but she won’t be doing it alone! As per Kensington Palace‘s statement, Kate is expected to be in the hospital for “10 to 14 days” before she heads home to “continue her recovery.” She likely won’t “return to public duties until after Easter,” but Will will resume his usual workload a few days after she gets settled at home.
While the Heir is proving how loyal he is to his family right now, this kind of approach to parenting isn’t new for him. According to a close family friend of the couple, they don’t have “a huge private staff” and “as a result, William is really hands-on” with the kids, they explained:
