Manchester United and Manchester City will soon find out their opponents for this season's Champions League thanks to their performances last season.
The Reds marked their return to the European stage thanks to a third place finish in the Premier League. Meanwhile, City won the domestic league and Champions League to make sure of their place in the elite European competition.
Manchester's clubs will be joined by Arsenal and Newcastle United in this year's group stages but next season there could be a fifth team from the Premier League joining the ranks. MEN Sport has taken a look at how this will be possible.

From next year, the current format of the Champions League will be scrapped. At present, 32 teams qualify for the competition and are split into eight groups of four teams. Each team plays their other group members twice, home and away, with the top two qualifying for the knockout rounds. The team which finishes third in the group enters the Europa League play-offs.
However in the 2024/25 campaign, 36 teams will qualify for the Champions League. The group stages will be scrapped with all participating teams entering into a league.
Each team will play eight matches, half home and half away. After these matches, the top eight sides will automatically qualify for the knockout rounds. Those finishing 9th to 24th will take part in a two-legged play-off in a bid to join the knockout phase. The bottom eight clubs are eliminated.
