Here's Why the Best Actress Category at Oscars 2021 Is So Unpredictable

Oscar producer Steven Soderbergh has confirmed why the Best Actor category was moved to the end of this year’s Academy Awards. Viewers who tuned into the Oscars last month were baffled as to why the evening ended on the Best Actor Award, a decision that rendered the ceremony’s conclusion somewhat anticlimactic.

Oscars, has opened up on the award show’s decision to end on the Best Actor category instead of Best Picture.The 3rd Academy Awards, which took place April 26, notably ended with Anthony Hopkins for The Father clinching Best Actor over the late Chadwick Boseman, who was nominated for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and a favourite in the category.

One of the most touching traditions at the Oscars is the In Memoriam section of the show. This is where someone goes on stage and introduces a musical montage that showcases some of the film and TV folks that passed away over the past year.

Last night’s Oscars was filled with colourful frocks, smiling A-listers and also saw the first woman in 13 years win Best Director. And as is the norm with any awards ceremony, there were various highs and lows during the evening, with some even calling it “the most awkward end ever” after Anthony Hopkins scooped up the award for Best Actor.
