A family have been left devastated after a mother-of-four died months after travelling to Turkey for weight loss surgery.
Shannon Meenan Browse, 32, died at the end of August. The mum had gone to Turkey earlier this year for gastric sleeve surgery but became so ill in the aftermath she 'starved' and was left unable to eat without vomiting.
Her husband Don and father Shane, speaking to Belfast Live, said her vomiting became so severe that her teeth rotted and her hair fell out before she tragically died of multiple organ failure on August 25.
Her family say Shannon had the surgery in order to try and help with weight loss. They are now warning others about the dangers associated with the surgery and travelling abroad for procedures.

With her training at a standstill and the young mother unable to continue losing weight she decided to travel abroad with a friend for gastric sleeve surgery in February last year.
The NHS say the risks associated with this form of surgery can include difficulty swallowing, vomiting and in rare cases death.
Upon returning home, Shannon's family say she lost the ability to eat solid foods and "went downhill gradually" until she had to be placed on life support at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry, before she sadly passed away following multiple organ failure.
