Hannah Dodd is getting candid about her Bridgerton character.
In May, it was announced that the 27-year-old actress would be replacing Ruby Stokes, who exited the series due to scheduling conflicts.
In a new interview, Hannah opened up about taking over the character of Francesca and how she was preparing for the role.

“I’m so excited,” she told TVLine. “Everybody’s been so lovely. I just want to do a good job.”
The upcoming season will focus on Penelope and Colin, with Penelope searching for a husband and struggling due to her lack of confidence. When Colin decides to help her, he begins to doubt whether he has deeper feelings for Penelope.
“I really enjoyed Colin and Penelope’s story,” Kelly said. “So I am really looking forward to seeing how that pans out in our version.”
Having read Julie Quinn‘s books, Hannah said she used Francesca’s story as a jumping off point. “Because I didn’t know what I’d got myself in for, but I needed to read that as soon as possible,” she explained. “It’s such a beautiful book and she’s such a beautiful character. I can’t really believe that I get to play her.”
“I know how people feel about her as well, so I’m going to do my best,” she added.
