Greater Manchester's weather forecast is finally due to start improving, according to experts from the Met Office.
Whilst there has been heavy rain across the region this morning (August 30), and relatively low temperatures of around 13C, conditions are set to improve throughout the day.
This could set the trend for the rest of the week. By this afternoon, temperatures are expected to rise significantly to 16C alongside sunny intervals.
Temperatures will continue to rise to 18C in the evening before slightly dropping as night time rolls in. By the late evening, temperatures will drop to 14C with partly cloudy conditions.

The Met Office said: "A day of sunny intervals and possible showers. The showers will be most numerous and occasionally heavy in southern parts of the region and through the morning with many places turning dry later in the day. Generally light winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C."
On Thursday, the weather will be much more settled, with an average temperature of 16C that will last throughout the whole day. However, while there will be no rain, that doesn't mean there will be much sun, with the Met Office predicting cloudy conditions throughout the majority of the early afternoon and evening.

The Met Office added for Thursday: "Probably turning cloudier from the south on Thursday with the chance of rain or showers later. Perhaps remaining mostly dry and bright in the north. Maximum temperature 19 °C."
Early predictions for Friday and the rest of the weekend currently show increased chances of sunny conditions and sunny intervals.
